Eligo

Privacy policy

Version 1.1 · last updated 2 November 2026

Without a profile

You can use Eligo without creating a profile. In that case nothing is sent to us: your progress, settings and trial stay on your iPhone.

With a profile (optional)

We store your first name and email address, and the state of your plan (trial, Eligo Premium) to link your purchase to your profile.

What we never store

Your photos, your videos or their content. All duplicate analysis happens on your iPhone and no photo leaves it.

Places of your trips

To name your trips, Eligo sends Apple’s location service the coordinates of a few places where you took photos, with no photo and no identifier. Apple returns the country and city; we never receive or store these coordinates. The result stays on your iPhone.

Why

To manage your profile and your purchase, and to answer you if you write to us. We only send you newsletters if you agreed to it, and you can unsubscribe at any time in one click.

Where and for how long

Profiles are hosted by Supabase in the European Union. We keep them as long as your profile exists, then erase them within 30 days of deletion, unless the law requires us to keep them.

Sharing

We never sell or rent your data. It is only shared with our technical providers, bound by contract, and with Apple for payment.

Your rights

Under the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP) and the GDPR, you can access, correct, export or erase your data, or object to its use. Write to contact@eligoapp.ch. You can also contact the Swiss Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC) or the authority in your country.

Launch list (website)

If you leave your email on eligoapp.ch, it is collected through Tally (Tally BV, Belgium, EU) only to tell you when Eligo launches. You can ask us to delete it at any time at contact@eligoapp.ch.

Controller

William Lainez Jackow, Rue des Glacis 21, 1207 Geneva, Switzerland. Contact: contact@eligoapp.ch.

Language

This policy exists in French and English. In case of any difference, the French version prevails.
